Yak Media is run by Katie Moore. With over 20 years experience in creative roles, Katie is a mountain addict and visual storyteller, with in-depth knowledge of the outdoor industry. She has a string of award-winning commercial & documentary production, writing & editing credits and a knack for pulling together the best people in the business. Constantly on the lookout for an unexpected story, she jumps at the chance to tell tales about ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Katie left her home town of Slough to work a ski season and never went back! Uncovering a passion for everything outdoors, her curiosity and determination have led her on a never ending quest for the next challenge! She has flown off mountains in Mongolia, paddled uncharted rivers in Bolivia and skied on several continents. When not filming, organising or editing, you will likely find her in the mountains with Mowgli the dog.

At Yak, we are committed to making a more positive impact and consider every aspect of production to deliver services in the most sustainable way possible. This includes reducing travel where we can, using renewable energy suppliers and partnering with organisations working towards positive climate goals. We are working to make outdoor content production a more diverse and inclusive space, both in front and behind the camera. We endeavour to create opportunities and build pathways for less represented people within our production and post production teams.
